We all hate those high pressure salesmen and their tactics. At Midwest Alarm, we do all we can to eliminate high pressure sales. In fact, we DO NOT ask you to make a decision on the day that we meet to discuss your security needs. All estimates are completed and sent via email, allowing you the opportunity to review at your convenience. We will NOT contact you again. We believe that you should have the opportunity to decide the best price and services yourself and not because of a slick talking salesman. If you choose Midwest Alarm, you decide when to contact us and should not have the fear of being pressured to make a decision.
Price Guarantee
Another part of our no high pressure sales is that we guarantee your price for one year from date of your written proposal. There is no reason to make quick decisions. Many companies encourage you to sign up on the spot or you will lose the chance of their special pricing. Not at Midwest Alarm, we lock your price in for one year. (This does not apply to special order equipment.)
No Deposit Required
We do not require an upfront deposit or prepayment on residential or small businesses. We all have heard the horror stories of a contractor getting a deposit and then disappearing. We eliminate this risk for you. Payment is expected upon completion, not before. (This also does not apply to special order equipment.)
No Credit Check Required
Most companies require a credit check. Sometimes this can be intrusive. Medical bills, a layoff or job loss from a few years back; etc. can lower your credit rating and prevent you from getting approval. Some people are even worried about having several companies checking your credit at once. As a homeowner, you are approved with Midwest Alarm. If you decide on Midwest Alarm, it means that you have decided to trust us. Then we should trust you as well.
Nothing Farmed Out to Others
Our residential and commercial customers need to rely on our company for the protection of their lives and property. We don't pass it off to others. Midwest Alarm not only does the installation, we also own the Central Monitoring Station dispatch center for dispatching emergency authorities during the event of an alarm.

Each home or business is different. What is important to protect in your neighbors home may be different than the needs for your home. We all have different lifestyles and security issues. Perhaps you want to alarm a child's bedroom window so that they can't sneak out in the middle of the night, whereas your neighbor may have no children. You may want a sensor to protect a safe or a room full of electronics, maybe even a personal medical button for someone in your household. Custom security can be designed just for your needs and prevent you from wasting money on equipment that you don't need yet.

Low Installation Prices
We work hard to keep your costs down. Many companies use salesman who are on commission, which means the more they sell you the more they make. Since our primary income is based on our monitoring services, we don't need to oversell you on equipment. If this is the first time that you are buying an alarm system, we usually suggest that you start off with a basic alarm. You can always add onto it later as your needs change. We can show you how to keep your costs down.
24/7 Unlimited Monitoring
Our monitoring services are for UNLIMITED monitoring, unlike other companies who may have a flat monthly fee and then charge you for each call. Some may charge a monthly fee and then charge you an additional fee when they dispatch the police or fire departments. They may also charge you an additional fee if you accidentally trip your alarm or smoke detector, or additional charges for each person they call during an event. This will not happen with Midwest Alarm, we have NO HIDDEN FEES.
Insurance Discount Certificate
Many insurance companies offer discounts for a monitored alarm system. We can provide your insurance agent or company a Certificate of Monitoring at no cost. Discounts can be anywhere between 15 to 25%, many times covering the majority or all of your monitoring costs.
No Hidden Fees
As we have already mentioned, we have no hidden fees. We put everything in writing. Our written proposals are very detailed. Details are important. We may lose a customer once in awhile because we work hard to show your costs upfront. It is the hidden charges that can be expensive. You have a right to know your real costs and it should never be a surprise.
Free Estimates
Estimates should always be free. You should not have to pay someone to offer their services. An estimate is an opportunity to meet each other. It is an opportunity to explain your security concerns. It is an opportunity for you to learn more about our company and our staff. Never pay anyone for an estimate.
Free Apps for Smart phones and Laptops
Many manufacturers provide free apps for their products. Midwest Alarm can assist in setting up the proper apps on your devices. Security systems and cameras have free apps available.
Multiple Alarm Discounts
We are proud of having 3rd generation families as customers now. This is evidence of building good relationships with our customers, starting off with one family, then their children and now grandchildren. As a way to show our thanks we have a multiple family discount program. As more family member’s sign up for service, we offer a discount to each household. The larger your family group, the larger the discount per month on monitoring services.
Referral Program
As a current customer, if you refer a friend or family member and they use Midwest Alarm to install their security system, you will receive up to 3 months of monitoring service free. You can take advantage of it, or pass the savings on to your friend or family member.
Vacation Service
Our Vacation Service is unique. As a customer, we offer several services while you are on vacation. We can check the status of your alarm system if you use cell service as the communicator for your alarm. We can verify daily that your alarm is set. We can also check other things such as temperatures and lighting, if so equipped. If you have our camera system, you can have us check the security of your property 2 to 3 times a day or night. If you need to let a neighbor in to check your home or allow a contractor in to do a repair, our office can disarm and arm the alarm for you. Yes, we have ways of verifying that the proper persons are only allowed entry. We can also act as your personal answering service while you are gone. If you need to contact someone and are unable to reach them, we can make the calls for you. Need a service that you can leave updated information with, we can keep your messages and your family or friends can check in as often as necessary for updates. Under certain circumstances, we can even send emergency cash to you if your credit cards are stolen. Call for details.
Free Monitoring Service for Churches
Churches are rapidly becoming targets of theft. When a Church installs our security alarms, we do NOT charge for the monthly monitoring. In other words, we do charge for the installation, but the monitoring of the alarm system is free of charge.
Landlord Rental Property Program
If you own rental property and have an alarm installed by Midwest Alarm, if a tenant moves out we can suspend the charges for monitoring until the home is rented again. Rental property is a great target for thieves. When someone moves out, the home is producing no income while it is being repainted and updated. Yet, while empty, it is enticing to bad guys of all sorts. This program allows for monitoring services to continue on the property, while it is empty, without payment until it is re-rented. Usually a Landlord will add the cost of monitoring onto the monthly rent. (Cellular or land line phone required).
Police, Fire and Military Discounts
We offer discounts on our monitoring services for Police, Firefighters and active military personnel that signup for monitoring with Midwest Alarm. If they would die while on duty, Midwest Alarm will stop all alarm monitoring billing to their spouse, as long as they remain in the home. Monitoring of the alarm system will continue free of charge as a way for us to thank those who have served to protect us and lost their lives doing so. Although nothing compared to the loss of their loved one, it is just our way to give something back to their family. We hope to expand this program in the future with additional benefits. This program was started in 2006 in honor of one of our customers who was killed while on duty. Currently, we have two families on the program.
